Dr. Kasey is a licensed clinical psychologist with a doctorate in Clinical and School Psychology from James Madison University. She also has a Masters in Community Counseling from a CACREP accredited Counseling Psychology program at James Madison University and an undergraduate degree in Psychology and African American Studies from the University of Virginia. Dr. Kasey has over 15 years of experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, including Veterans, gifted and talented youth, college students, athletes, and leaders. Dr. Kasey has also completed specialized training in PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, and Couples therapy. She is also licensed in TN, VA, and credentialed to provide teletherapy through the APA PsyPact in 39 states.

As a clinician, Dr. Kasey views the therapy process as a collaborative experience, in which the client and therapist work together on the client's goals and presenting concerns. Furthermore, Dr. Kasey sees the therapeutic relationship as a facilitative condition for promoting change. Thus, she appreciates the opportunity to work with clients in increasing their insight and developing coping strategies to work through life's struggles.

Aside from therapy, Dr. Kasey is sensitive to issues of diversity and believes in the health and well-being of all people. She integrates an affirming, culturally sensitive, evidence-based approach in her therapy and coaching. She also offers presentations and workshops to nonprofit organizations, businesses, sports teams, schools and universities. Dr. Kasey also provides career-related consultation and coaching services, and she has a passion for empowering professionals on their journey in career advancement, leadership, and effective communication.
